An exhibition of documentaries, periodicals, photos, posters and cinema equipment is underway at the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) The exhibition, which opened on Tuesday, has been organized to celebrate Iran’s National Day of Cinema. Rarely-seen photos, film documents, a collection of top film news have been selected for the exhibition that is celebrating the 118th anniversary of cinema in the country. The organizers also are screening a restored version of Iranian director Dariush Mehrjui’s 1969 drama, “The Cow”, in memory of the film’s star Ezzatollah Entezami on the sidelines of the exhibit. The veteran actor of stage and screen who was named “master actor” in his memoirs written by Hushang Golmakani, died last month at the age of 94.
