Director of Kia Literary Agency in Tehran said that she will meet with more than fifty publishers and cultural foundations that support the language and culture of their own countries. eily Ha`eri Yazdi said: “Kia Literary Agency has participated every year in Frankfurt Book Fair, which is the greatest cultural event in terms of print industry and related products, and it will also take part in the event with full preparations this year.” She further added that in the fiveday exhibition, nearly 7,000 publishers from 100 countries will participate which reflects the significance of thiscultural event.
Frankfurt Book Fair is held since 1949 and its 69th edition will be held this year in Frankfurt from October 11 to 15. ha`eri Yazdi, who represents one of the three literary agencies of Iran in Frankfurt International Book Fair, said: “During these five days, Kia Literary Agency will meet with over fifty publishers and cultural foundations that support the language and culture of their countries and will introduce the outstanding Iranian artworks in the field of children and young adults.” Regarding the work area of the agency, she said: “Kia Literary Agency mainly focuses on introducing children and young adult’s literature and illustrated books and in this edition of the exhibition presents books from the celebrated Iranian writers and illustrators as well as selected works from publishers like Neyestan, Fatemi, Children’s Publishing and Hoopa on its agenda.”
The director of the agency also referred to the meeting where she’ll hold a speech and said: “I will speak at a meeting that introduces the project to support Iranian works, or Grant, with its counterpart from the NORLA Foundation in Norway which will be held at the Iranian National Stand to look at the differences and commonalities of these two foundations.”
