Iranian writer among the world’s top scientists

The Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) named 59 top researches of the world of Islam. Among which Babak Karimi from Iran was ranked as the 29th. Karimi, who has published over 100 articles in international journals, was included in the ISC 2006 list as well.

In 2012, Wiley Publishing Company had invited the writers of chemistry works from the U.S., Germany, U.K., Japan, Hungary, China and Iran for publishing Palladium-Catalyzed Coupling Reactions: Practical Aspects and Future Developments. In order to honor the 2010 Chemistry Nobel winners Richard F. Heck, Eiichi Negishi and Akira Suzuki. Babak Karimi joined the group of the writers as an Iranian author and wrote the book’s 5th chapter, coupling reactions induced by polymer- supported catalysts, in collaboration with Sedigheh Abedi and Asghar Zamani. The book was published in April 2013 for 149 Euros. Babak Karimi is a professor of chemistry at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS).
