Finnish Ambassador hoping to see Iran at Helsinki Book Fair

Atending Tehran International Book Fair, Finland’s Ambassador to Tehran Harri Kämäräinen stated that his team aims to make Iranian people acquainted with Finnish culture, hoping that Iran would participate at Helsinki Book Fair. According to IBNA correspondent, in his meeting with Sayyed Abbas Salehi Director of the 30th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF), Mr. Kämäräinen stated that TIBF has high standards and can be regarded as one of the best book fairs in the world. During my four years of staying in Tehran, I have always visited Tehran International Book Fair. But this year, concurrent with the100th anniversary of Finland’s independence we have arranged special programs for this event,” Finnish Ambassador said.
“In this respect, we want to introduce a book ‘The History of Finland’ to the Iranian people authored by the Iranian Ambassador to Helsinki Kambiz Jalali, which is one of the main goals of establishing our stand in TIBF,” he added. Elsewhere in his remarks, Mr. Kämäräinen said that the works by several legendary Iranian classic poets and mystics such as Hafez, Sa’adi, Molana (Rumi), Ferdowsi and Atar have been translated into Finnish languag e.
