The special “Congress on Persian manuscripts in Balkan and Central Europe” will be held at the Cyril and Methodius National Library of the Sofia University in Bulgaria. According to t he correspondent, a faculty member and Director of the Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Department of the Islamic era Dariush Zolfaqari will present an essay on the importance of rhetoric in the amendment of Shahnameh poems by Ferdowsi to the “Congress on Persian manuscripts in Balkan and Central Europe”. He said: “I believe there have been many discussions going on since Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh was published by the effort of Jalal Khaleqi Motlaq, of which one is the rhetorical comparison of the original text with the fake ones.” According to the researcher, the three first books of Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh which were compiled by Khaleqi Motlaq, review and summarize a few examples of the “V” sound in Persian. “It is concluded in the end that in many cases, the “V” sound in the text, which is deleted in the fake copies, is valid due to rhetoric,” he added. The Conference will be held at the Center for Iranian Studies, the Balkans and Central Europe in cooperation with the Cyril and Methodius National Library of Bulgaria, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Allameh Tabatabai University in Tehran, Association of Friends of Persian language and culture in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Cultural Heritage Institute.
