Books To Be Unveiled On Iran-Ukraine Cultural Days


Tehran’s Book City Institute has organized Iran-UkraineCultural Dialogue Days in which two books translated in Ukrainian and Persian will be unveiledAccording to correspondent, in the event which will kick off on Tuesday, August 28 and will run by Sunday, September 2, a Ukrainian translation of a poetry collection by Iranian writer Alireza Bahrami titled ‘London 1939’ will be unveiled at Fereshteh Bookstore of Tehran’s Book City. The other book is a Persian translation of the novel ‘Kaidash’s Family’ (1878) by the acclaimed Ukrainian writer Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky which will be unveiled. The event is held in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine and Aradman Publishing in Tehran on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Ukrainian independence. Among the other programs of the event are speeches to be delivered to by a number of scholars. Moreover, a photo exhibition titled ‘Kiev: the City of Revolution and Life’ taken by Alireza Bahrami will be showcased on Friday, August 31. The Iran-Ukraine Cultural Dialogue Days will wrap up after a meeting with Ukrainian Ambassador Sergei Burdylyak in attendance on Sunday, September 2.
