Malabadagh Hosted the Second Friendship with Books Caravan in Hamadan
Malabadagh Embraces Books with Second Caravan
The second “Friendship with Books” Caravan, aimed at promoting reading culture, commenced its journey in the Malabadagh district of Hamadan. This initiative, organized by the Hamadan Public Libraries Department, seeks to bring books directly to communities, especially in underserved areas.
According to the Director-General of Hamadan Public Libraries, Ms. Zahra Ahmadi, the program includes various cultural activities such as storytelling sessions, book reading competitions, and workshops for children and young adults. “Our goal is to foster a love for reading and make literature accessible to everyone, regardless of their location,” Ahmadi stated during the opening ceremony.
The caravan, equipped with a diverse collection of books ranging from children’s stories to scientific and literary works, will visit several neighborhoods over the next two weeks. Last year’s inaugural caravan received an overwhelmingly positive response, highlighting the community’s demand for such cultural outreach programs.
Participants are encouraged to borrow books, engage in discussions, and attend the scheduled events. The initiative is a collaborative effort between local authorities, educational institutions, and volunteer groups.
