Poets and Eulogists Should Read ‘Forty Elegies, Forty Points’
The book “Forty Elegies, Forty Points,” written by Morteza Amiri Esfandagheh, has been published by Jamkaran Mosque Publications.
Morteza Amiri Esfandagheh told a Mehr News Agency correspondent: The book “Forty Elegies, Forty Points” has been published for poets and eulogists of the Ahl al-Bayt. My experience over the past two decades of writing elegies for the Ahl al-Bayt has been compiled in this book.
He added: Poets can use the forty points in this book to compose forty new elegies. In this work, I have addressed forty common mistakes in elegy writing, as well as forty points on the rhythm and forty points on the rhyme of elegies. Essentially, the book contains 120 points for composing elegies.
Amiri Esfandagheh continued: Many of our current elegies are weak in terms of both music and content. My experience over the past twenty years has shown that many of our dear eulogists and even some poets do not pay sufficient attention to the music of poetry. When composing an elegy, one must consider both its outward music (prosody) and its inward music (the relationships between words).
This poet stated: This small volume is an educational book, and I believe that young poets and eulogists can benefit from its contents. This book has been published by Jamkaran Mosque Publications.
