Call for the Memoir-Writing Competition ‘Reverse to the Past’

The Sarcheshmeh Cultural Complex has issued a call for the “Reverse to the Past” memoir-writing competition.

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the competition focuses on the Pahlavi era and the Islamic Revolution. The announcement from the Sarcheshmeh Cultural Complex invites all interested individuals to participate in this competition by writing and submitting their memoirs.

The main themes of the competition include:

  • SAVAK (The National Intelligence and Security Organization)
  • Prisons and Torture
  • Social and Cultural Conditions of the Pahlavi Era
  • Key Figures of the Pahlavi Regime and the Revolution
  • The Islamic Revolution and its Aftermath

Those interested can submit their works to the competition secretariat. The deadline for submissions is September 6, 2024. The closing ceremony and announcement of the winners will be held in October 2024, coinciding with the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s protest against the Capitulation Law.
