He added, referring to the widespread welcome from academics for the first round of this campaign: “Book in Motion” is based on the belief that knowledge remains alive and effective only when it is in circulation and transferred from one mind to another.
The President of Kurdistan University continued: In this regard, the Central Library of Kurdistan University, in cooperation with the National Library of Iran and supported by the scientific resources of the Central Library and Documentation Center of Tehran University, as well as Ehsan Publishing, is once again hosting this scientific-cultural event.
Sioseh Moradi added: As part of this campaign, each participant can receive two free books and, based on an ethical commitment, pass the books on to another researcher after reading them, so that the cycle of knowledge transfer, experience, and thought continues in the university environment.
He emphasized that books are the light of knowledge and the foundation of cultural and scientific development of society, and said: The central university library has a pivotal role in learning and research, and implementing programs like this can strengthen the reading environment in the university’s cultural life and increase academics’ motivation for linking study and research.
The President of Kurdistan University added, pointing out that the “Book in Motion” campaign is part of the university’s cultural programs for scientific and research occasions: This program, alongside other book promotion activities, has been designed with the aim of strengthening the scientific participation of students and faculty and moving away from a consumer view of books, striving to introduce the book as a living and circulating element in the university community.
Sioseh Moradi invited academics to actively participate in this campaign, reminding them: Strengthening the culture of reading and research paves the way for raising awareness, producing science, and forming a dynamic and thoughtful society, and we hope “Book in Motion” will become a lasting model for promoting science and reading at Kurdistan University.
