Second National Literary Festival of Baran to be held
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), this festival, centered on the role of art and literature in combating the problem of addiction, invites writers and enthusiasts to send their works to the festival secretariat in the form of short stories and narratives. Themes include prevention of drug and alcohol consumption, addiction among children and adolescents, lifestyle, spirituality, and appreciation for life defenders.
Those interested can contribute to expanding the culture of prevention and social hope by writing creative and committed works.
The festival sections include short story, narrative, student works, and Shahid Abdi (martyrs defending lives). The designated themes are “prevention of drug and alcohol consumption,” “false beliefs in drug and alcohol use,” “addiction, lifestyle, and family,” “addiction, traditions, and local culture,” “addiction, children, and adolescents,” “addiction, spirituality, and religious life,” “children and adolescents and addiction to virtual space,” “addiction, institutions, and government policies,” “addiction, individual and social health,” “addiction, social hope, and the future of society,” “poppy cultivation, do’s and don’ts,” and “life defenders (martyrs in the fight against drugs).”
The final deadline for submitting works is December 21st.
