Darvishian’s works sowed the seeds of justice-seeking in the reader’s heart

According to IBNA (Iran Book News Agency), Asghar Elahi, a writer and researcher, in an interview with IBNA about the late Mohammad Reza Darvishian, a writer and researcher, stated that Darvishian had a justice-seeking perspective on the issues and sufferings of various social classes. He remarked: “His works were rooted in a justice-seeking view of the issues and sufferings of various social classes, which settled in the reader’s heart and soul with simple and eloquent literature, sowing the seeds of justice-seeking within them.”

He added: “Darvishian, with his precise and meticulous gaze, depicted people’s lives and problems and connected with the audience through his simple and heartfelt language.”

This writer and researcher, stating that Darvishian’s works did not merely describe but always maintained a critical approach to unequal social structures, said: “With his intelligence and astuteness, he identified the strengths and weaknesses of society and portrayed them with a powerful pen. In his works, Darvishian beautifully addressed the daily lives of people and conveyed deep and complex concepts to the audience in simple and fluid language.”

Elahi mentioned that Darvishian always paid special attention to the roots and literary traditions of Iran in his works, continuing: “In his research, Darvishian also focused on Iran’s literary and cultural treasures and tried to reinterpret and introduce them to the audience. Among his research works are ‘A Dictionary of Iranian Folktales’, ‘Famous Iranian Stories’, and ‘Iranian Folk Culture and Literature’, which are considered important resources in this field.”

Elahi stated that Darvishian used simple and intimate language in his works that was completely understandable to the reader, adding: “He tried to connect with the audience, and thus, his works were quickly welcomed and gained popularity among people.”

He also said that Darvishian was a justice-seeker and fighter in his personal life, stating: “He defended people’s rights with all his being and stood against oppression and injustice. Darvishian was a committed and justice-seeking person not only in his works but also in his actions.”

This writer and researcher, referring to Darvishian’s special attention to children’s issues in his works, stated: “Considering the importance of children’s education, he also created works for this age group, among the most important of which are ‘Tales of Gilan’ and ‘Folk Stories’.”

Elahi concluded his remarks by emphasizing: “Darvishian, through his efforts and perseverance, presented lasting works to Iranian literature that will forever live on in the memory of those interested in Iranian literature and culture.”
