Kamran Fani passed away

According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), Kamran Fani, a prominent figure in librarianship, researcher, and translator, passed away at the age of 81.

Born on Farvardin 25, 1323 (April 14, 1944) in Qazvin, he was an Iranian author, translator, librarian, and manuscript researcher. He was a permanent member of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature and a faculty member of the Encyclopaedia of Shi’a.

For several months, due to old age and illness, he had been hospitalized in a nursing home and under medical supervision.
