Second Humorous Poetry Festival ‘Noosh Khand’ in Hajiabad

According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, the Deputy for Cultural, Media, and Advertising Affairs of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Hormozgan announced the regional holding of the second humorous poetry festival ‘Noosh Khand’ in Hajiabad.

Mohammad Mirdadi, referring to the grand policy of the Islamic system based on decentralization and attention to less privileged areas, stated: The General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the province also, in line with this policy, pays special attention to cultural development in cities, and holding festivals like ‘Noosh Khand’ in Hajiabad is a concrete example of this approach.

He also emphasized the need for planning diverse sideline programs alongside this festival and added: The opportunity created by this event should be fully utilized to introduce all cultural, artistic, and tourism capacities of Hajiabad city.

Mirdadi stated: This festival will be held with the participation of poets from Hormozgan, Fars, Bushehr, Kerman, South Kerman, and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces, competing in two sections: open and local (Hormozgan verses), and in classical and modern forms.

He called for maximum and widespread participation from all executive bodies, public institutions, and general citizens to hold the second humorous poetry festival ‘Noosh Khand’ as gloriously and effectively as possible.

The Deputy for Cultural Affairs of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Hormozgan said: The goal of holding this festival is to identify and encourage humorous poetry talents, strengthen the atmosphere of joy and hope in society, and also to preserve local dialects and themes through the language of humor.

Hojjat-ol-Islam Mehdi Dari, the Friday Prayer Leader of Hajiabad, also emphasized in this meeting the importance of holding cultural and artistic events like the ‘Noosh Khand’ festival and recalled the effective role of such programs in cultural development and social vitality.

The second humorous poetry festival ‘Noosh Khand’ will be held on the 7th and 8th of Bahman this year in Hajiabad city, northern Hormozgan, and the festival secretariat will soon publish the full call for participation in this cultural event.
