Unveiling of the novel ‘Lost in Lost Ways’
According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bushehr, the unveiling ceremony for Samad Taheri’s latest novel, ‘Lost in Lost Ways,’ will be held on Wednesday, December 10, at 7 PM. The event will take place at the Bushehr Bookstore and will feature the author and Mohammad Keshavarz.
Here is an excerpt from the novel ‘Lost in Lost Ways’:
“Kaka said: Look, uncle, this is another sign. How has this harmal bush grown here, in this drought?
I said: Yes, you’re right. He said: I think Parizad is in this very well; the sound of her lullaby comes from this well.
Your eyes see better, take a look and see if you can find anything. He was right, the sound seemed to come from that well. I went to the top of the well. I looked; it was pitch black.
I said: Nothing is there.
Kaka said: Go closer, look carefully; don’t be afraid, I’m watching.
I bent over the edge of the well and looked. First, I saw a green light, then, as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw her. It was my mother, sitting at the bottom of the well and singing a lullaby.”
According to IBNA, attendance at the book launch ceremony is free and open to the public.
