Veteran of the printing industry, Haj Nasser Kalari, passed away

The late Nasser Kalari, a veteran and guild activist of the printing industry, passed away on Friday (December 5th) at the age of 92.

Saeed Kalari, nephew of the late Nasser Kalari, confirming the news of his passing, stated that he was born in February 1933 and began his activity in the printing industry in 1945. Having lost his father at the age of 12, after leaving school and with an interest in the printing profession, he entered the ‘Minai Printing House’ in Bein-ol-Haramein Bazaar through his cousin, the late Mohammad Erza (Minai).

Kalari seriously engaged in the printing field from 1950, and in 1954, along with his brothers, he founded the ‘Payam Novin Printing House’ in the Tehran Bazaar area. Later, in the early 1990s, he also opened the Tavazoe Printing House in the same area.

In addition to his professional activities, this veteran of the printing industry was one of the country’s philanthropists and school builders, participating in the construction of over 70 schools in various parts of Iran. He also actively participated in collecting public aid with bazaar guilds during the Iran-Iraq War.

Haj Nasser Kalari was one of the founders of the Printing Guild’s Benevolent Fund and the Mohabban of Imam Sadegh (AS) Fund Charity, and was considered one of the trusted figures of the Grand Bazaar of Tehran.
