A Book That Is Not Praise But a Narrative From a Critic / Review of the Book ‘In the Company of the President’
According to Khabaronline News Agency, the book “In the Company of the President” by Seyyed Abdoljavad Mousavi was reviewed today, Tuesday, December 2, from 4 to 6 PM at the Central Book City. Mohammad-Ali Abtahi (Head of the President’s Office during Seyyed Mohammad Khatami’s tenure), Ali Moazzi (Deputy for Communications of the President’s Office during Hassan Rouhani’s tenure), Morteza Kardar (writer and journalist), and Seyyed Abdoljavad Mousavi (author of the book) attended this book review session. Hossein Ghareh, a journalist, moderated the session. Seyyed Abdoljavad Mousavi’s new book, titled “In the Company of the President”, has been published by Khabar Emrooz Publications and includes the author’s companionship during Dr. Hassan Rouhani’s travels to the cities of Khuzestan, Hormozgan, and Sistan and Baluchestan.
A Mention of Friendships That Still Continue
At the beginning of the session, Seyyed Abdoljavad Mousavi was asked to answer the question: “What led you, as a critical writer, to accompany Hassan Rouhani on these three trips?” He first mentioned Reza Amirkhani and wished him well. He then continued: “I started journalism in 1991 – excluding the years I didn’t work, either by necessity or choice – I’ve been engaged in journalism for half a century. The first person I worked with was Mehdi Nasiri. Friendship has always been an important principle for me, and I have tried to maintain my friends, but a friend whose actions lead to supporting Israel is naturally no longer a friend. Apart from this, however, I have had continuous cooperation with Mr. Ali Moazzi for 17 years, and Mr. Ali has truly accompanied me in these years not only as a colleague but as an elder brother. To the extent that I think if it weren’t for him, I would have either taken matters into my own hands or let others. I had to speak of this friendship, companionship, and steadfastness to record it in history. So, part of the book’s formation goes back to him personally and my friendship with him. In fact, perhaps if he weren’t there, I wouldn’t have done this work. This is a brief introduction to see what comes next.”
