Publication of Selected Razavi Travelogues and Memoirs in Ilam Province
Ali Helshi stated in an interview with the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Ilam: Ilam Province is the executor of the 16th International Razavi Travelogue, Memoir, and Reminiscence Writing Festival, and selected works will be printed and published in book format.
He added: ‘Eastern Radiance’ is part of the series of festivals and programs of the International Razavi Festival. This edition of the festival is held in two age groups, under 18 and 18 and above, and in two languages, Persian and Kurdish, along with local dialects of the province.
He pointed out: Given the proximity of Iran and Iraq and the extensive presence of Iraqi pilgrims of Imam Reza (AS), the international section of the festival is dedicated to the Arabic language, which is considered one of the important features of this cultural event and a valuable opportunity to introduce the life and culture of Razavi among various target communities.
Helshi further added: The Arabic section of the festival holds special importance because Ilam Province serves as the gateway to the holy shrines (Atabat-e Aliyat), being “Bab al-Hussein” on one side and “Bab al-Reza” on the other. This capacity can facilitate the participation of pilgrims from Iraq, as well as domestic Arab speakers and Arab-speaking students residing in the province.
He expressed hope that this festival, utilizing standard Persian and various dialects and accents, will be held in a manner befitting the dignity and name of Imam Reza (AS) and showcase a magnificent aspect of Razavi culture.
The Director-General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Ilam Province continued: Enthusiasts can submit their works in Persian, Arabic, and the common dialects and accents in Ilam Province to the festival secretariat until January 5, 2026 (15 Dey 1404).
