Nowruz as a Symbol of Cultural and Political Convergence in Building the Iranian School of Peace
The Religion and Thought Service of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) reports: The fifth preliminary session of the annual conference of the Iranian Scientific Association of Peace Studies (Iranian School of Peace), titled “Nowruz as a Symbol of Cultural and Political Convergence in Building the Iranian School of Peace,” is being held in collaboration with the International Relations Group and the Nowruz Region Group of the Iranian Scientific Association of Peace Studies, and with the cooperation of the Central Library of Allameh Tabataba’i University.
In this session, Musa Akrami, the scientific secretary of the conference, will speak on “Epistemological and Cultural Foundations of Nowruz and Peace”; Mohammad Mansournejad, director of the Religion Research Group of the Scientific Peace Association, on “Nowruz as the Origin of Peace and Joyful Life”; Amirhoushang Mirkoshesh, director of the International Relations Group of the Peace Association, on “Nowruz as a Tool for Cultural Diplomacy and Peace Discourse in Iran’s Foreign Policy”; and Moheb Babak, a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Tehran from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, on “The Possibility of Utilizing Nowruz for Cultural Solidarity.”
This session, which will be managed by Ehsan Movahedian, an expert on Iranian cultural issues, will be held on Sunday, Azar 9th (approx. November 30 or December 1), at 3 PM in the conference hall of the Central Library and Documentation Center of Allameh Tabataba’i University.
