132 Quranic Programs in Fars Universities; From Spiritual Gatherings to Book Reading Competitions

According to Khabaronline, Mohammad Hassan Javidi, Director of Quran and Etrat of Fars Student Basij District, announced on Tuesday at the closing ceremony of the national conference and specialized workshop on Quranic lifestyle: The Week of Quran and Etrat of universities was held with the aim of promoting Quranic beliefs and behaviors, identifying student talents, and creating spiritual vitality in educational and dormitory environments.

He added, referring to the implementation of the national “Narrators of the Holy Quran” project in the holy shrine of Imam Ahmad ibn Musa (AS) and Shiraz universities: Gatherings for familiarity with the Quran, scientific sessions, and Quranic interpretation competitions were among the programs that were widely welcomed by students.

Javidi also reported on the holding of Fatemiyeh mourning ceremonies by students, the “A Letter to Light” competition, meetings of Quranic activists with the families of martyrs, and brainstorming sessions.

He continued: Knowledge circles focusing on the Quran and Nahj al-Balagha were established in student dormitories and are still ongoing. In addition, joint cooperation with the office of the Supreme Leader’s representative in universities and the Department for the Development of Quran and Etrat Activities of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences has also helped strengthen this movement.

The Director of Quran and Etrat of Fars Student Basij District finally noted: The establishment of Dar al-Quran (Quran House), religious associations, Quranic publications, consultation desks, a collective Quran recitation project on behalf of martyrs, screening of documentary films, and book reading competitions were among the other prominent programs of this week.
