Book exhibitions establish Kish’s position as a model cultural region
According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Bandar Abbas, Hojjat al-Islam Alireza Biniaz, with a deep reference to Islamic teachings, emphasized the inherent importance of reading and learning in religion and considered book exhibitions essential in establishing Kish’s position as a model cultural region.
Recalling that the Quran itself is the ‘eternal miracle’ of Islam and its revelation began with the command ‘Read’, he expressed his regret over society’s insufficient adherence to these religious recommendations and stressed the necessity of making reading a ‘sustainable habit’. These statements practically place a cultural demand alongside the executive aspects of the exhibition.
The Friday Prayer Leader of Kish described the holding of the Sixth Kish Book Fair as a valuable and praiseworthy initiative and said: Kish is a small Iran; alongside its natural and recreational beauties, it has great cultural and human assets and should also be introduced as a model cultural region.
Hojjat al-Islam Alireza Biniaz finally stated: The establishment of multiple exhibitions, especially specialized book exhibitions throughout the year on this island, can help consolidate Kish’s position as a model cultural region.
According to IBNA, the Sixth Kish Book Fair, from November 21st to 29th, 2025, will welcome students every morning from 9:00 to 13:30, and in the afternoon from 16:00 to 22:00, it will host the general public of Kish residents, guests, and the book-reading community.
