Book launch of ‘Tarikh-i Rashidi’ at the National Library
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the National Library and Archives of Iran will host the unveiling ceremony of the book ‘Tarikh-i Rashidi’ with the presence of diplomats from Kazakhstan and prominent history professors.
The unveiling ceremony of ‘Tarikh-i Rashidi’ will be held on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at 10 AM at the International Conference Center of the National Library. This program is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan, aiming to introduce the latest corrected edition of one of the main historical sources of the Timurid era.
‘Tarikh-i Rashidi’, authored by Mirza Haidar Dughlat, is considered one of the most important historical texts for understanding the political structures, social developments, and cultural relations of the Timurid period and the beginning of the Safavid era. This work, corrected by Ali Mohammadi, has been prepared for publication by Bu-Ali Sina University Press.
In this academic session, Ontalap Onalbayev (Ambassador of Kazakhstan), Beikmarad Haydar (Deputy Ambassador of Kazakhstan), Ali Mohammadi (corrector of the book), Taghi Pournamdarian, Hashem Aghajari, Dariush Rahmanian, and Maghsoud Ali Sadegh Gandomani will present their views on the importance of this work and its research potential.
