Start of the Sixth Kish Book Fair

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), quoting the public relations of the Iran Book and Literature House, the “Sixth Kish Book Fair” commenced on Saturday, December 1st, 1404 (Persian calendar, approx. November 22, 2025) with the slogan “Book, a Window to Life” in the exhibition hall of the Kish Free Zone, attended by Mohammad Mehdi Ahmadi, Senior Advisor to the Minister and Head of the Artistic Affairs Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Hojjat-ul-Islam Wal-Muslimin Alireza Biniaz, Kish Friday Prayer Leader, and other officials of the Kish Free Zone.

This exhibition is held in an area of 7000 square meters, and its daily visiting hours will be from 9:00 to 13:30 and from 16:00 to 22:00. In the Sixth Kish Book Fair, 350 publishers have registered, of which 247 publishers have delivered their books for display at the exhibition to the warehouse of the Iran Book and Literature House. In total, 17,253 book titles published in the last five years, comprising 180,000 volumes and valued at over 15 billion Toman, will be on display for enthusiasts.

One of the highlights of this year’s exhibition is the launch of a special booth for reading tools and equipment, implemented for the first time in the history of Iranian book fairs. This initiative aims to strengthen the needs of the reading community and increase the attractiveness of reading.

According to IBNA, the Sixth Kish Book Fair, held from December 1st to 9th, 1404 (approx. November 22 to 30, 2025), provides a unique opportunity to meet publishers, access new publications, and experience modern reading tools, and can play an effective role in promoting the culture of reading on Kish Island.
