According to Khabaronline News Agency, Semnan Province, Hamed Alamati, CEO of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanun Parvaresh Fekri), in a meeting with the Governor and a group of provincial officials, spoke about the vast library resources of the Kanun. He stated that a wide network of books is available to children and teenagers across the country, which strengthens the foundation for cultural and educational programs.

Referring to the Kanun’s commitment to maintaining thematic diversity in books, he explained that efforts have been made to provide a varied collection of works suitable for different age groups, to meet the cultural needs of audiences, and to facilitate extensive reading programs.

Alamati noted that over 60 cultural, artistic, and educational activities are carried out at Kanun centers, with books and reading culture being their main focus, held consistently throughout the year.

He reminded that educational workshops, creativity programs, and activities such as storytelling remain at the forefront of Kanun’s agenda, aiming to foster a passion for learning in a safe and engaging environment for children.

He added that advancing cultural goals is difficult without the support of various organizations, and the effective presence of other cultural institutions can significantly increase Kanun’s capacities.

The CEO further mentioned that inter-organizational cooperation will ultimately lead to strengthening cultural infrastructures and the intellectual growth of the new generation, a path that Kanun seriously pursues.

The Governor of Semnan emphasized that diversifying the province’s library resources, especially in the field of children and young adults, is a serious necessity for strengthening the educational role of books and cultural institutions.

Mohammad Javad Kolivand, in a meeting with the CEO of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, commemorating Book and Reading Week, stated that books can play an effective role in shaping the identity of the future generation.

Referring to the educational standing of Kanun Parvaresh Fekri, he added that this institution is one of the country’s most important cultural arms in nurturing a generation inclined towards reading and critical thinking, and more precise planning should be done to strengthen its missions.

Kolivand deemed investment in the intellectual growth of children and teenagers as an undeniable necessity. He stated that in an era where the enemy spends huge amounts using media tools and virtual space to influence the minds of children and teenagers, strengthening the country’s educational infrastructures has become even more important.

Addressing the cultural situation of Semnan province, he mentioned that educational equity and the production of rich content should receive more attention than before, and the fourteenth government also has a special focus on this area.

The Governor of Semnan noted that today we are in an environment where the heavy cultural and media onslaught of the enemy is more directed towards teenagers, youth, and even children, highlighting the necessity of strengthening fundamental cultural activities.

He continued: one of the strengths of Kanun Parvaresh Fekri is that it starts its activities from early ages, and this feature can be very effective in dealing with existing cultural challenges.

Kolivand expressed that for cultural programs to be more effective, children’s and young adult reading materials in the province’s libraries need to be updated and diversified to provide the necessary appeal for the new generation.

He added that diversifying library books, especially those related to children’s literature and Kanun Parvaresh Fekri, should be pursued as a cultural priority.

The Governor of Semnan emphasized that creating an environment rich in educational content can make children more immune to various cultural waves and smooth their path to reading.

He reminded that neglecting to strengthen suitable reading resources for the teenage generation can lead to cultural damage, and therefore, the qualitative development of libraries must continue. Kolivand concluded by stating that the cultural management of the province must utilize all capacities to meet the reading needs of children and teenagers so that libraries become more active bases in educating the next generation.

Reviewing Cultural Problems and Concerns of Teenagers in Semnan

A meeting between the CEO of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults and teenagers and Kanun members in Semnan province was held.

According to Khabaronline News Agency, Semnan Province, the CEO of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults said that a vast network of 8,000 Kanun members (Kanun-yaran) has been organized and activated across the country with the aim of strengthening cultural activities and expanding youth participation.

Hamed Alamati stated that the Kanun organization strives to develop operational roles for enhancing cultural and artistic activities for teenagers, especially in underserved areas, with a fresh, participatory approach.

He further noted that a broad network comprising 8,000 Kanun members is active alongside 1,050 cultural, literary, and artistic centers nationwide, and this capacity can provide a new path for strengthening teenagers’ skills and intellectual growth.

Alamati emphasized that focusing on a youth-centric approach in Kanun’s programs is not only a primary demand of families but also a basis for better identifying the needs of the new generation and creating creativity-oriented platforms.

He added that field meetings with teenagers in provinces, especially direct dialogues, play a significant role in accurately understanding problems and receiving practical suggestions, and this model of dialogue will continue.

Following this meeting, Morteza Mazinani, Director-General of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Semnan province, stated that fostering dialogue among children and teenagers with the support of experts is the main axis of Kanun’s development programs in the province, and efforts are being made to pursue these sessions through sustainable projects.

Mazinani pointed out that direct interaction with teenagers has created an environment for their ideas in cultural, social and artistic activities to be closer to implementation and yield greater returns.

He added that the Semnan provincial organization, aiming to enhance youth participation, has envisioned paths for their active presence in cultural decision-making, and its implementation is on the agenda.

In this meeting, teenagers and Kanun members also expressed their concerns, offering a set of suggestions for improving learning conditions, strengthening individual skills, and developing cultural spaces.

Participants stated that addressing the needs of the teenage generation is only possible by directly listening to their views, and these opportunities will lead to increased motivation and cultural participation.

At the end of the meeting, the continuation of face-to-face dialogues and follow-up on problems raised by teenagers was emphasized to guide the implementation of new programs based on the lived experiences of this demographic.

The CEO of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults said that cultural justice is a concern of the Fourteenth Government, and today we must set aside symbols and think about ideals, with artists playing an effective role in realizing this strategy.

According to Khabaronline News Agency, Semnan Province, Hamed Alamati added in a meeting with artists at the Semnan University Science and Technology Park conference hall that training competent and efficient human resources with a governmental and governance perspective is necessary to move towards ideals.

He clarified that human resource training is one of the most important priorities in the cultural sector, and every artist, university lecturer, and cultural activist should train several individuals for the next generation to ensure the continuity of the cultural movement.

He reiterated Kanun’s main mission, emphasizing that the issue of children and teenagers is one of the most strategic cultural areas of the country because the future of this land depends on real investment in educating future generations.

Alamati stated that the approach to cultural and social issues is very important, and artists, writers, poets, journalists, and every cultural activist should, in addition to raising questions and demands, play an influential role in guiding society.

Referring to the role of artists in cultural current-setting, he stated: sometimes a poem, a media headline, a visual artwork, or a note can fulfill a cultural mission in the shortest and most effective way possible, and thus, cultural elites should be able to outline the correct direction for society.
