The book is one of the tools for peace in the global society

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Zarqan, at a ceremony attended by cultural and literary activists, book enthusiasts, and poet Sajjad Heydari Qeiri, the acting governor of Zarqan reviewed the brilliant history of poets and writers from past to present, emphasizing the continuation of this intellectual movement in today’s society.

Saeed Nazari further stated that books are one of the most effective tools for peace in the global society, adding: "The exchange of cultures, dialogue among nations, and moving towards peaceful coexistence are among the most important functions of books in the current era, and written thought can reduce distances and expand the grounds for understanding."

The acting governor also deemed the role of books decisive in solving social issues, saying: "Many cultural and intellectual movements in society are formed based on study and content production, and any society that is more familiar with books will traverse the path of growth and awareness better and faster."

The head of Zarqan County’s Public Libraries Association then referred to changes in the cultural landscape, saying: "Today, books are not limited to printed versions; they are also widely used in electronic, digital, audio, and other new media formats, and this flexibility has provided an opportunity for the new generation to reconcile more with books."

During this ceremony, the efforts of the county’s librarians over the past year were appreciated.
