Unveiling of the book ‘Lost Ones of Sistan’ in Zabol
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Zabol, coinciding with Book Week, the book ‘Lost Ones of Sistan’ was unveiled in a ceremony aimed at honoring the status of books and librarians in Zabol city.
This ceremony was held at the Ustad Iraj Afshar Sistani Public Library in Zabol and hosted a group of provincial and local officials, writers, and cultural activists of the region.
Hujjat al-Islam Pourandokht, the Friday Imam of Zabol, said at the ceremony: “The unparalleled role of books in the cultural growth of society is immense,” and he emphasized the necessity of expanding the culture of reading among all segments of society and its key role in building a progressive civilization.
Milad Yazdanpanah, the head of the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Zabol, also introduced the book ‘Lost Ones of Sistan,’ stating: “This work elaborates on untold stories and the cultural and civilizational grandeur of this ancient land. The purpose of publishing this book is to introduce the rich and identity-giving capacities of Sistan and Baluchestan to the new generation and to revive the region’s cultural heritage.”
At the end of the ceremony, a number of philanthropists, supporters of the book sector, and cultural activists were honored.
