According to a reporter from the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the book ‘Homeland or Silistre’ will be reviewed in cooperation with the Iranian History Association and Yam Publications.

In this session, which will be held on Saturday, Azar 1st, at 8 PM, Hassan Hazrati, Behrouz Bakhtiari, and Saghar Monshi will be present and will deliver speeches on the topic. Mohammad Bitarafan will chair the session.

The book ‘Homeland or Silistre,’ written by Namık Kemal and translated by Saghar Monshi, has been published by Yam Publications. It is Namık Kemal’s first and most important play. Although he is not the founder of modern Turkish theater, he certainly brought theater in its contemporary sense to this country. This work is unique and prominent in the history of Turkish theater, not only for its dramatic pioneering but also for creating political and social impulses.
