Ahar Department Managers to Study and Present Book Summaries in Managers’ Meetings

The Director General of Public Libraries of East Azerbaijan Province announced the obligation for managers of Ahar departments to study and present book summaries in their regular meetings.

Shahin Saeedi, in a meeting with the head of Ahar Public Libraries, emphasized that developing a culture of reading and increasing public awareness requires managers to pay serious attention to promoting reading.

He added that a national reading plan has been proposed to enhance the reading culture in the province. “In this plan, all managers of provincial departments are required to introduce the latest books and discuss their content in their weekly or monthly meetings,” he stated.

Saeedi considered libraries as the main pillar of cultural development and public awareness. “The existence of libraries in the city of Ahar plays a crucial role in providing diverse resources and promoting knowledge. We expect managers to prioritize the study and introduction of books, thereby setting an example for their employees,” he said.

The Director General of Public Libraries highlighted that through this initiative, managers will not only deepen their own knowledge but also encourage a culture of continuous learning and reading among their staff. He concluded by reiterating the commitment to supporting library programs and initiatives aimed at improving literacy rates across the province.
