Unveiling of the Book ‘New Governance in the Media Arena’ at Isfahan Central Municipal Library
According to Khabaronline from Isfahan, among the programs of Book and Reading Week in Isfahan is a book exhibition, which is one of the most extensive book exhibitions of Book Week in Isfahan, featuring five thousand book titles. This exhibition, on one hand, is easily accessible and located in the city center, giving it an advantage over other exhibitions held in Isfahan so far. On the other hand, it has limited space for displaying books, which makes comfortable viewing difficult, especially since there is no suitable parking space around the Isfahan Central Library, and it is considered one of Isfahan’s most congested areas.
However, the significant turnout of teenagers and young people at this exhibition, due to its appropriate location and especially its proximity to the city center and schools of Isfahan (Nesf-e Jahan), is noteworthy and an advantage that cannot be overlooked. Furthermore, the ease of access to the Isfahan Central Municipal Library for free registration during Book Week and attracting audiences of various ages adds to the advantages of holding the exhibition at this location.
Today, at the Isfahan Central Municipal Library, we also witnessed the unveiling of the book ‘New Governance in the Media Arena,’ written by Narjes Golshan and Ehsan Mashayekhi. This book examines new developments and challenges in the field of media.
Live Play Performance
Live play performances by radio and theater actors and a speech on ‘Iranians, the Oldest Documentarians in the World’ were among the attractive parts of today’s program, which were well-received by the audience.
At this ceremony, Mohammad Ali Jafari, Cultural and Media Deputy of the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Isfahan Province, stated: “Storytelling and its impact on shaping public opinion are of particular importance, and media should act as a bridge between the people and the government.”
He added that the unveiling of the book ‘New Governance in the Media Arena’ demonstrates cultural and scientific efforts. He expressed that “this work can be a suitable resource for those interested in the media field and provide an appropriate framework for better studies.”
1404 Different Programs Held During Book Week in Isfahan Province
Jafari, referring to the organization of 1404 different programs during Book Week in Isfahan Province, added: “Despite economic problems, books still hold a special place in household baskets.”
Subsequently, Azarmidokht Farhikhteh Vala, Secretary of the Association of Luminaries and Head of Book Promotion Activities, also a writer and researcher in the field of history, said: “The Iranian nation has always strived to preserve and perpetuate its identity and ideas.”
She stated that this effort to record events is not limited to major historical occurrences but encompasses all aspects of daily life. She added: “Evidence of these efforts exists in archaeological artifacts. For example, inscribed bowls from the fifth millennium BC, containing prayers and names, demonstrate this type of idea-recording.”
Then, Narjes Golshan, one of the authors of the work, stated that the integration of rationality and mysticism in the media sphere is essential. She added: “This book is not merely a collection of articles but a roadmap and strategy for cultural policymakers.”
She explained that this work has been compiled along two lines: the wise statements of the Supreme Leader and scientific research up to 2025. She further added: “This book shows that the Leader’s words are not only aligned with global contemporary findings but are also pioneering and guiding.”
At the end of the ceremony, three volumes of the book ‘New Governance in the Media Arena’ were unveiled, and attendees signed the book and took souvenir photos with the author.
