In this ceremony, held at the Prophet A’zam (PBUH) Cultural and Artistic Complex in Royan, a bronze statue of Nima Yooshij was presented to these two renowned figures of Iranian literature.

Mahmoud Dowlatabadi, our country’s acclaimed author known for works such as «Kelidar», and Taghi Pournamdarian, a distinguished literary researcher with writings like «My House is Cloudy», were selected as the first recipients of this literary award.

The Deputy for Political, Security, and Social Affairs of Mazandaran Governorate considered change and modernism as Nima’s main characteristics and emphasized: “We must learn from Nima how innovation impacts individual and social life, and his thoughts should be disseminated in society.”

The representative of the people of Noor and Mahmudabad in the Parliament also introduced Nima as a symbol of ethics and humanity, saying: “His poems reflect justice-seeking, human kindness, and social concern, and his works and ideas should be introduced to present and future generations.”

On the sidelines of this event, a 280-kilogram bronze statue of Nima Yooshij, a work by the late Reza Yahyaei, was unveiled, and plans for the restoration of Nima’s tomb were also announced.
