Lorestan Document Center to be launched after 35 years
According to Khabaronline News Agency from Lorestan, Arefeh Zarei stated in this regard: This center operates with the aim of preserving cultural, historical, political, and social identity for future generations, and the organization of government documents is part of its activities.
She continued: The activities of this center cover 5 western provinces of the country.
The Head of the Iran National Archives and Library, Western Region, stated: So far, 4,000 copies of books from Lorestan Province have been donated to this center.
Zarei said: These documents represent our traditions, customs, etc., and are registered in the National Library and, after scanning, are made available to researchers.
She added: The organization of Sacred Defense documents is also one of the most important actions of this center. She continued: Standard conditions for document preservation should exist in all provinces.
Zarei, in another part of her speech, referring to the performance of various organizations in this field, said: In Lorestan, 57 organizations are in continuous communication and activity with this center, 7 are semi-active, and 12 are inactive. So far, 4,000 copies of books from Lorestan have been donated to the National Archives and Library.
