‘Mashhad Luminaries: Dr. Seyyed Mousa Khan Hejazi, The Great Physician’ Book Published.

According to the correspondent of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Mashhad, ‘The Great Physician’ book, a collaborative effort by Fazlullah Hejazi and Sohrab Reza-zadeh Bahadoran, his grandson and great-grandson, respectively, has been released to the book market by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences Publications.

Dr. Mousa Hejazi, known as ‘The Great Physician,’ was an Iranian doctor who provided many services. Among his most important contributions were the establishment of Hejazi Hospital for psychiatric patients and Mashhad Tuberculosis Hospital (currently Dr. Shariati Hospital).

Some parts of the book include photographs of him from the personal and family archives of the Hejazi clan.

Also featured are introductions to famous individuals who were associated with Dr. Hejazi in some way. The final sections include a brief history of Dar al-Funun school, where Mousa Khan was an alumnus, followed by a report on the current status of Dr. Hejazi Psychiatric Hospital and Dr. Ali Shariati Hospital, which are among the other contents of the book.

The book ‘Mashhad Luminaries: Dr. Seyyed Mousa Khan Hejazi, The Great Physician,’ authored by Seyyed Fazlullah Hejazi and Sohrab Reza-zadeh Bahadoran, with cover design by Fatemeh Samadi Alishahi, has been released to the book market in a pocket size, 126 pages, and a print run of 100 copies by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences Publications.
