500 Special Book and Reading Programs to be Held in Semnan Province

Saeed Dehghanloo, in an interview with a reporter from the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Semnan, announced the preparation of 500 diverse programs for Book and Reading Week across Semnan province, stating: Over 500 programs with various themes have been arranged simultaneously with Book and Reading Week throughout the province.

Explaining the most important of these programs, he added: One of the most central programs of Book and Reading Week in the province will be the Grand Book Week Celebration in Semnan.

The Director-General of Public Libraries of Semnan Province continued: This grand celebration will be held on the 27th of Aban, with the presence of authors, book enthusiasts, librarians from across the province, top and active members of Semnan Public Libraries, and others.

Dehghanloo stated that the conference hall of Semnan Central Library will host this event, adding: During this grand ceremony, librarians and activists in the field of books in the province will be appreciated.

He emphasized that this year, the presence of local authors from Semnan province in schools will be another program of Book and Reading Week, stating: Our goal for this program is to further familiarize students and the future builders of our country with the concept of penmanship, authorship, and books.

The Director-General of Public Libraries of Semnan Province said that visiting the homes of authors, especially veterans in the field of writing in the province, is another program of Book and Reading Week in the province, adding: The Book Ambassadors project, specifically for students as the main promoters of books and reading in schools, will also be held during Book and Reading Week.

Dehghanloo stated that programs such as book launches, reviews, and various cultural and artistic festivals like content creation on the topic of books and artificial intelligence, the provincial ‘Faraghati and Ketabati’ poetry festival, etc., are considered among other programs for Book and Reading Week in Semnan province, adding: This week, we will also have a major book donation festival for the libraries of Semnan province.

He mentioned that this special program will be held under the title ‘Give Wings to Your Books’, adding: This week, outstanding librarians of Semnan province will also be appreciated.
