Book reading campaigns continue in Malayer until the end of autumn season

Seyed Mahdi Akhshik, in an interview with an IRNA correspondent in Hamedan, announced the implementation of over a hundred special cultural programs in Malayer’s public libraries to mark Book Week, stating: “The execution of over 100 cultural and educational programs across libraries, schools, cultural and religious centers has created a vibrant atmosphere of reading enthusiasm in November 2025.”

He continued: “During this week, diverse programs such as new book exhibitions, reading sessions, book and painting competitions, educational workshops, visits with the revered families of martyrs, children’s storytelling, group reading, and Quranic gatherings were held, leading to significant استقبال from library members, cultural figures, and families.”

The head of Malayer’s public libraries mentioned the active libraries involved in hosting programs, stating: “Shaheed Beheshti, Ayatollah Mirshahavand, Ayatollah Fazelian, Saheb al-Zaman, Karim Khan Zand, Velayat, Ghahraman Pakbin, Allameh Amini, Unknown Martyrs, Towhid, and Daneshjoo Libraries are among the active libraries.”

He emphasized: “During this week, each of these libraries played an effective role in promoting the culture of reading by implementing a variety of programs.”

Akhshik also announced the celebration of Book Week, stating: “The ‘Kindness with Books’ campaign, visits to schools and kindergartens, creative storytelling, visual book introductions in virtual spaces, and the execution of artistic and play-reading programs are among the other prominent activities this week in Malayer.”

He reminded: “At the end of these programs, active librarians, cultural instructors, and local authors of the city will be honored, and it has been decided that family-focused reading campaigns will continue until the end of the autumn season.”
