According to Khabar Online news agency, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, stated this morning at the ceremony commemorating the Day of Book, Book Reading, and Librarianship: “The collection of libraries and librarianship has not received due attention as it should. This weakness exists and must be addressed. Of course, we have tried our part to pay attention to this matter based on the value and status of books.”

According to an ISNA report, Ghalibaf, stating that books, pens, expression, explanation, wisdom, science, and knowledge are mentioned throughout the Holy Quran and are blessed matters, said: “Books provide us with all human life and revelation and are an inexhaustible treasure. To understand the world and utilize the valuable experience of humanity, one must refer to books.”
