In the introduction penned by Dr. Mohammad Hasanzadeh, a professor at Tarbiat Modares University, the importance of knowledge-based development in the path of national progress is emphasized.

The book’s three-chapter structure offers a logical and comprehensive journey from problem identification and basic concept explanation to the analysis of the main pillars of knowledge-based development. Chapter one examines the necessities and goals of knowledge-based development. Chapter two provides the necessary background for understanding the position of the knowledge-based economy by analyzing the general aspects of development, and then elaborates on the concepts of knowledge and knowledge management, analyzing the various dimensions of knowledge-based development. Chapter three delves into the main pillars of this development, including the knowledge-based economy, society, cities, and organizations, and analyzes and explains the book’s main theory.

This book, by combining strong theoretical foundations and an analysis of successful international experiences, provides an indigenous and practical framework for policymakers, managers, researchers, and activists in the field of technology and innovation to play an effective role in the country’s knowledge-based transformation.
