Literary Festival ‘Words in the Light of Fardis’ to be Held
According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Karaj, concurrent with Book and Book Reading Week, the call for the regional festival “Words in the Light of Fardis,” with a focus on poetry and books, has been published.
This festival aims to promote the culture of reading and support young poets and writers, organized by the General Department of Public Libraries of Alborz Province.
Based on the announcement from the festival secretariat, the poetry section is dedicated to Alborz and Tehran provinces, and submitted works must be unpublished.
The topics for this section include:
- Book and Book Reading (in praise of pen and knowledge)
- Love for Mother
- Fatemi’s Compassion (inspiration from the endless compassion of mother and Lady Fatimah)
- My Homeland, My Paradise (love for homeland, pride in the city)
- Family and Youth Population (generational dynamism, family stability)
The poetry format has been announced as free verse.
In the book section, which is held specifically for Alborz province, interested participants can submit their works in the fields of poetry, novels, and stories published in the years 1403 and 1404 (Persian calendar).
The deadline for submission is November 15, 2024 (25 Aban 1403), and the winners will be introduced and receive special prizes at the closing ceremony.
