Commemoration Ceremony for ‘Book, Reading, and Librarian Day’ to be Held

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), on Saturday, November 13, 2025, concurrent with the start of the 33rd Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the commemoration ceremony for ‘Book, Reading, and Librarian Day’ and the introduction of the winners of the first ‘Hamkhan; Iran Public Library Award’ will be held at Vahdat Hall.

The national ‘Hamkhan; Iran Public Library Award’ event was held in November 2025 in 12 sections: ‘Public Library User Education Award’, ‘Public Library Services for Special Groups Award’, ‘Public Library Services for Children Award’, ‘Public Library Services for Teenagers Award’, ‘Public Library Services for the Elderly Award’, ‘Out-of-Library Services Award’, ‘Book-Loving Family Award’, ‘Reading Promotion Award (Public and Volunteer Group)’, ‘Reading Promotion Award (Individual Selectee)’, ‘Public Library Promotion Award (Journalists)’, ‘Public Library Supporters Award’, ‘Family-Friendly Public Library Award’, and also a special section ‘Value-Creating Public Library Award’.
