Shahid Abuysan Library Nominated for National ‘Hamkhwan’ Award

According to the reporter of Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Mashhad, Shahid Abuysan Library’s counter in Jaghatay County, Razavi Khorasan Province, was nominated for the ‘Hamkhwan’ award.

The national ‘Hamkhwan; Iran Public Library Award’ event aims to identify and appreciate successful models of library services and enhance the quality of promotional and reading activities. It will be held across the country in November 2025 (Aban 1404 in Persian calendar). Nominees for the ‘Hamkhwan’ award were introduced in categories such as User Training in Public Libraries, Public Library Services for Special Groups, Public Library Services for Children, Public Library Services for Teenagers, Public Library Services for the Elderly, Outreach Library Services, and Family-Friendly Public Library Award.

In the Public Library Services for Teenagers category, Shahid Abuysan Library’s counter from Razavi Khorasan Province and Jaghatay County, along with Amin Velayat Library from Fars Province and Shiraz County, and Seyed Afzal Mousavi Library from Zanjan Province and Zanjan County, were introduced as nominees for this award.

The judging process in various sections has concluded, and the winners will be introduced and honored on Saturday, November 14 (Aban 24), concurrently with the special ceremony for ‘Book, Reading, and Librarian Day’ at Vahdat Hall.

Shahid Abuysan Library is located in Abuysan village, part of the Helali district of Jaghatay County in Razavi Khorasan. This village, with approximately 200 households and 700 inhabitants, is considered a cultural and influential village in the field of reading, as it was introduced as one of the book-friendly villages in 2014 (1393 in Persian calendar) and was also recognized as the top library in the province in 2021 (1400 in Persian calendar).
