Commemoration Ceremony for ‘Book, Reading, and Librarian Day’ to be Held at the Parliament Library
According to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), quoting the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Parliament Library, the commemoration ceremony for ‘Book, Reading, and Librarian Day’ will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Library, Museum, and Documentation Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament).
During this ceremony, which will be attended by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, eight new publications from the Parliament Library will be unveiled. These include ‘IFLA Guidelines for Parliamentary Libraries,’ ‘Classes of Shi’a Notables,’ ‘Index of Documents of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Library (Petitions of the Seventh Term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly),’ ‘Index of Documents of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Library (Petitions of the Eighth Term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly),’ ‘Index of Persian Manuscripts of the Municipality Library (Istanbul),’ ‘Index of Manuscripts of Tabriz Central Library,’ ‘Index of Manuscripts of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Library (Volume 58),’ and ‘Index of Persian Manuscripts in McGill University Libraries.’
In this ceremony, with the presence of cultural activists, a group of representatives from the Islamic Consultative Assembly, members of the Parliament Library’s board of trustees, members of the library’s research council, cultural figures, university professors, writers, journalists, and library staff, several activists in the field of books and librarianship will be honored.
This ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 9:30 AM, in the Shahid Modarres Hall of the Library, Museum, and Documentation Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, located on the southeastern side of Baharestan Square.
