The Status of Women in Iranian History

According to the correspondent of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), the book “The Status of Women in Iranian History,” written by Shirin Bayani, has been published by Jami (Mosaddegh) Publications. In the history and culture of Iran, women have always had a prominent presence and a brilliant role. A look at the remains from various periods, such as inscriptions, pottery, paintings, and ancient books, shows that women have played a significant role in society, especially in the fields of culture and civilization.

Shirin Bayani, a prominent historian, researcher, and distinguished professor at the University of Tehran, has deeply examined the status of women in Iranian history in this book. By studying historical works and sources from the earliest days of this land’s formation to the contemporary era, she has explored the status of women in different periods and depicted their efforts throughout history; women who, in every era, have left a lasting legacy on the face of this land with their brilliance.
