13 Sacred Defense Book Titles Unveiled in Bojnord

Bojnord, September 10, 2024 – Thirteen new book titles focusing on the Sacred Defense (Iran-Iraq War) were unveiled today at a ceremony held in Bojnord, the capital of North Khorasan Province.

The event, attended by cultural officials and war veterans, highlighted the ongoing efforts to document and preserve the history and sacrifices of the eight-year war. Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ali Ahmadi, Director General of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense Documentation Center, emphasized the critical role of literature in transmitting the values of the Sacred Defense to future generations.

“These books are not merely chronicles of events; they are profound narratives of courage, resilience, and patriotism,” Dr. Ahmadi stated. “They serve as invaluable resources for researchers, students, and the general public to understand the true spirit of that era.”

The newly unveiled collection includes a diverse range of genres, from personal memoirs of combatants and commanders to historical analyses and fictional works inspired by true events. Efforts have been made to ensure that these publications are accessible to a wider audience, including younger readers.

He added that promoting the culture of reading about the Sacred Defense is essential for safeguarding national identity and memory. The ceremony concluded with a book signing session and an exhibition of the new titles.
