Cloudy Shahrivar: A Novel About the Invasion of Foreigners in Gorgan and Dasht During World War II
Seyed Mohammad Mirmousavi, in an interview with the reporter of the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Gorgan, stated: The novel ‘Cloudy Shahrivar’ depicts the story of the invasion by foreigners, the army’s lack of resistance, and how people behaved towards the foreigners in Gorgan and Dasht.
He added, referring to the fact that the novel has been published in 392 pages, in a print run of one thousand copies, and priced at 420,000 Tomans by Behnashr Publishers: In this novel, I have tried to portray the difficult and anxious days of World War II and the occupation of Iran through writing, and to show aspects of hope and effort for freedom.
Mirmousavi said about his book’s story: ‘While the people of Iran were resting in their nightly beds after hours of work and effort, the extension of the Atrak border river trembled with an unsettling resonance, and several thousand military personnel, aggressors, with modern equipment and weaponry, had their eyes on the borders of Iran, incessantly in turmoil and struggle.’
The border outpost, like an old guard situated in the corner of the border between Iran and the Soviet Union, with a small number of soldiers, sergeants, warrant officers, and a young officer, watched intently beyond the border and the endless desert.
Some believed that no country would covet the powerful land of Iran; but the story unfolded differently.
