Hosseini stated regarding Historical Memory’s best-selling books: “‘Sobh-e Sham,’ the memoirs of Martyr Amirabdollahian, ‘To Zudtar Bokosh’ (You Kill Sooner) translated by Vahid Khezab, and ‘Khun-e Deli Ke La’l Shod,’ the memoirs of the Leader of the Revolution from his struggles during the Islamic Revolution and his imprisonments and exiles, have been our three best-selling books in recent weeks.”

Our side programs like “StandAkh” help increase book sales

Referring to the holding of side programs at this bookstore, he added: “At Historical Memory Bookstore, in addition to selling books, various programs are held, and these programs also impact book sales. Book launches, gatherings, book signing events, humorous poetry nights, etc., are some of the programs we hold depending on events and book releases. We also have a program called ‘StandAkh,’ which is a stand-up comedy and is held on the last Wednesday of every month. Given the publicity for these programs, audiences are attracted and attend. Naturally, with their presence, they see the books and make purchases.”

Hosseini concluded about his experience in the bookstore business: “It’s a very good experience. I used to read a lot of books myself, and since I had extensive studies in politics, humanities, and history, I became familiar with Historical Memory Bookstore and got involved in the bookstore business. I have been working here for about two months and I am happy to have more connection with books and book lovers.”
