Hamedan to Host Razavi Children and Youth Poetry Festival; Submission Deadline is End of Azar
According to Iran’s Book News Agency (IBNA) in Hamedan, Seyed Mohammad Reza Javadi stated that the National Razavi Children and Youth Poetry Festival is one of the country’s prominent literary events, held within the framework of the 19th International Imam Reza (AS) Festival. He added: “We are proud to host this national event in the historic city of Hamedan, with the participation of child, adolescent, and adult poets from all over the country.”
Referring to the festival’s objectives, he emphasized: “Our main goal is to promote and institutionalize Razavi culture among the new generation of children and adolescents, because poetry is one of the most delicate and effective tools for transmitting the values and virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) to this generation.”
The Director-General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Hamedan Province added: “In this festival, we have tried to create an environment where teenagers and children can express their love and devotion to Imam Reza (AS) through their own language and feelings.”
Regarding the thematic axes, he stated: “The festival topics include concepts related to the life and conduct of Imam Reza (AS), the sublime status of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), pilgrimage, and moral and human concepts derived from Razavi culture. Those interested can compose and submit their works in these areas.”
Javadi announced the final deadline for submissions as the end of Azar 1404 (Persian calendar, approx mid-December 2025). He said: “Participants are required to submit a maximum of 5 works electronically through the system, in Word format (typed in BNAZANIN font, 8 point size).”
He also mentioned: “Winners of the three sections will receive cash prizes up to 30 million Rials, in addition to commendation plaques. The closing ceremony and award presentation for the top individuals will be held in the second half of Dey (Persian calendar, approx mid-January 2026) in Hamedan, after a full evaluation of the works.”
