Use of new technologies in the field of book publishing

According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) in Semnan, Amir Masoud Shahramnia stated at the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the University Publishing Center and Semnan University, held in the complex’s auditorium: The utilization of artificial intelligence and modern technologies in the process of book publishing has been put on the agenda.

He added, explaining that they are seeking to utilize new methods and modern technologies in book publishing: Scientific and research collaborations between Semnan University and the University Publishing Center can significantly contribute to this goal.

The head of the country’s University Publishing Center also elaborated on the signed memorandum of understanding: Developing joint activities with Semnan University in various fields, especially the publishing of academic books, is one of the key sections of this memorandum that was signed by both parties today.

Shahramnia announced that scientific and research collaborations between Semnan University and the University Publishing Center will expand from now on, stating: The preparation, editing, and publishing of books at the University Publishing Center will be carried out with the help of Semnan University, in accordance with this memorandum.

He further added that this memorandum also represents a valuable step towards enhancing the quality of book publishing: Organizing book exhibitions with Semnan University as the central focus is considered another crucial part of the signed memorandum.

The head of the country’s University Publishing Center mentioned that indexing scientific works in reputable international databases and preparing their infrastructure is another section of the aforementioned memorandum, and said: Scientific and technological collaborations between Semnan University and the University Publishing Center are considered other pivotal aspects of the said memorandum.

Shahramnia continued his remarks by highlighting the necessity of strengthening the international presence of our country’s universities’ works and said: Given the existing capacities in universities, there is considerable potential for international presence, and universities must bolster their capabilities in this regard.

He stated that universities’ participation in presenting scientific works globally is not out of reach because significant capacities exist in our country’s universities: Establishing a joint database of scientific and publishing resources is one of the issues we strongly emphasize.

The President of Semnan University also spoke at the ceremony, referring to the signing of the cooperation agreement between his university and our country’s University Publishing Center, stating: This memorandum can mark the beginning of a path towards the qualitative and quantitative development of publications at Semnan University.

Seifollah Sa’dollahdin affirmed that the utilization of technological capacities is among the sections of this memorandum for which Semnan University has declared its readiness, and stated: Strengthening the university’s position in the realm of scientific publishing is one of our primary objectives in signing this cooperation agreement.

He added that they are actively pursuing the enhancement of the university’s standing in publishing: Expanding scientific interactions and improving the quality of research and publishing activities at Semnan University are other core goals in signing the cooperation agreement with our country’s University Publishing Center.
