Ronald David Laing’s “Knots” available in Persian
TEHRAN – Ronald David Laing’s “Knots” has been published in Persian by Entesharat-e Negah.
The book has been translated into Persian by Fariborz Mehr.
“Knots” is a series of dialogues, poems, and aphorisms that explore the complexities of human relationships and communication. Originally published in 1970, it delves into the illogical and often paradoxical nature of interpersonal dynamics.
Laing, a Scottish psychiatrist who lived from 1927 to 1989, explored existential phenomenology and was known for his writings on mental illness. He was a controversial figure who challenged conventional psychiatric practices and advocated for understanding the subjective experience of mental distress.
His other notable works include “The Divided Self: An Existential Study in Sanity and Madness” and “Self and Others.”
