Poetry and History Night Held in Kerman

The ‘Poetry and History Night’ session was held in Kerman with the presence of a group of poets and history professors. This session was organized by the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Kerman Province in cooperation with the Soroush Literary Association. In this ceremony, poets recited their poems focusing on the theme of history and national identity.

Mr. Mohammad Ali Golabzadeh, a Kerman history researcher, spoke about the importance of poetry in recording historical events, stating: ‘Throughout history, poetry has always been a tool for transmitting the culture and identity of a nation.’

Seyyed Mojtaba Alavi, Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Kerman Province, also emphasized the pivotal role of literature and art in the cultural development of society at this session, adding: ‘Holding such gatherings provides an opportunity for exchange of views and collaboration among cultural and artistic figures.’
