First Consultative Book Council Formed in Kashmar

The first meeting of the Kashmar County Consultative Book Council was held at the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance, attended by cultural officials and activists in publishing and reading. The purpose of forming this council is to foster synergy and exchange ideas for promoting reading culture, supporting local publishers and authors, and planning book-related events in Kashmar. The head of Kashmar’s Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized the importance of civil society participation in cultural policymaking and expressed hope that this council would take effective steps in developing the county’s reading environment.
