The book “No Longer a Prisoner,” a collection of memoirs by a veteran of the Iran-Iraq War, has been published in Shiraz. The work, edited by local historian Dr. Parviz Abbasi and released by Fars Publications, recounts the personal experiences of a prisoner of war, offering a harrowing yet inspiring account of resilience and survival.
The author, Hojjatollah Karimi, shared his motivations for writing the book, stating his desire to preserve the memories of his comrades and share the untold stories of sacrifice and hope. The publication event was attended by local cultural figures and war veterans.
